A woman named Gerel, who had been lured to Malaysia by the 2 sisters’ false promise of a high-paying housekeeper job, having no money in her pocket and believing the empty words of sisters that all expenses will be covered by her employer, was sold for 1000 Malaysian Ringgit according to that time currency rate. She realized everything was going wrong when the locked iron door cracked behind her. Gerel was forced into prostitution in sauna and massage parlors and she was savagely punished and beaten when she tried to escape. She forcibly worked as a prostitute being injected with drugs when she was sick and therefore she hadn’t another way to hide her illness. She wanted to leave that place but she went into debt of 17700 Malaysian Ringgit and therefore she can leave after paying her debt back. As long as Gerel found out that she will be sold to someone soon, she cut her face with a brow razor entirely and was whispering herself “I must go home alive”. Although Gerel could get resolved her problem through the court complaining against two sisters in court, documents of the closed trial were disclosed and her case was printed in newspaper with her full name. Everybody including her surroundings, even her close friends, found out about this case and she was afraid of being seen. That’s not all for her because she is always subject to family violence and has to tolerate her husband’s bossy attitude, insults, and offensive words. She isn’t able to work with others and with the community psychologically. She doesn’t come out of her home during the day-time not to be seen by others and goes outs when it gets dark outside. Her husband doesn’t come home for months drinking vodka. She became a prostitute not to let her children starve; actually, it is because she has just given up and accepted and believed it’s her destiny.

In September 2021, on the way back home from UB to Nalaikh district, she had no money or cell phone to call someone for help. Hopeless, she was walking along the road and approached by a stranger in a car, rolling down his window and offered to take her home. That is when she was convinced and got into the car. On the way, another lady joined and started asking questions of the client. While driving, the strangers had taken advantage of the client’s lack of adult supervision, money, and vulnerability, promised her a steady source of income and a beauty salon, and offered a job, which seemed, at the time, the only exit from the abusive and alcoholic mother, uncle and his friends and all types of abuses. That is how she was lured into the exploitation.
